Yep, that's it! I'm Done

Well, maybe not quite yet, but…
…there is light at the end of the tunnel!
I can feel this phase of my journey coming to an end!
Some of you know that for the last three years I have been neck deep in academic work seeking a doctoral degree. For those of you who didn’t know, but you are faithful readers, probably could tell due to the academic feel of my posts. Well, I am three weeks away from the end of my classwork. The end of my assignment deadlines, the end of reading thousands of pages a week (of which I was seldom able to complete), and the end of a virtual classroom setting. Possibly for good.
What this means is that the constant stream of posts I have been able to provide here on Modern Inklings is about to come to an abrupt end. At least in the way it has been coming. You see, as a part of my classwork, I was assigned to do between 4 and 6 short articles each week for the last three years. What this provided was a lot of content for me to throw out into the virtual world for all of you to enjoy and learn from, or use as lullaby material.
What this also did was cause me to write on a wide variety of topics that may have seemed random and scattered for you as a reader, but for me followed the development of my courses and my degree.

So, how do we move forward?

Please don’t despair, this does not mean our relationship is over. It does not mean that Modern Inklings is going away, but it is going to change a bit. For instance, in the coming weeks, I am going to explain what Modern Inklings actually means, which I think there are currently 5 people on the whole planet who currently know. I am going to be writing more from my heart, from my experience, and in the areas of interest that I have. It is still going to have a leadership focus in both ministry and business, but it is going to be narrowed down and refined.
What I am excited about in this transition on Modern Inklings is that I will be able to interact with you much more. I will be able to respond to your comments, take questions from you, and even develop posts that come out of my time with the Modern Inklings community. Many of you may not realize this, but Modern Inklings has reached all over the world. We have friends on every continent and continue to grow. This morning we had the privilege of reaching into the lives of Africans in Nigeria, which is so exciting for me. So, I want to encourage you to comment on posts that move you, that inspire you, that you don’t agree with, or that you have questions about. Let’s take the Modern Inklings community to the next level.
Now, my classes may be over, but that doesn’t mean my journey has completed, and this may be a great opportunity for you. The next phase for me is to write a book as a final project for my degree. For you, that means you will get some sneak peaks, some inside scoops, and even some editorial castaways that are good quality but will not make the final product.
So, the point of this post is to let you know, things are changing, but they are positive changes and for those of you who have walked with me through the last three years, thank you. We are just getting started, so stick around, be a part, contribute your voice, and let’s see how far down the rabbit hole really goes.
